Is it true that I shouldn't plant vegetables where azaleas once grew?

Most vegies like a neutral soil - azaleas thrive in an acid soil. So if you want to plant vegies you will have to add soil amendments to sweeten the soil. As for the %26quot;poison%26quot; issue - if in doubt plant fruiting vegetables like tomatos or peppers, and plant leafy vegetables like spinach or lettuce elsewhere.

Is it true that I shouldn%26#039;t plant vegetables where azaleas once grew?
i don%26#039;t know the full answer but i do know that azaleas are acidic plants. They like lots of acid and will thrive under these conditions. I hope it helps a little!
